Bloom 03:05
Everyone, and everything Through my memories they ring A sound from long ago Echoes from a muddled past How long can any one thing last And will I ever know? Everything I've ever shown Reflected in the eyes that I show you Everything I've ever known Somewhere in my mind still rings true All the bars and all the scars I wonder how I got this far A toast to lessons learned To songs I sang and friends I had To people who I treated bad And a nod to bridges burned Everything I've ever shown Reflected in the eyes that I show you Everything I've ever known Somewhere in my mind still rings true Chorus: But the seeds I've sown grow today Though the things I've known blow away And I wish to God, how I pray That I could stay and watch them Bloom Tell me why it's everyone Remembers everything I've done That ever caused a tear Across the years, weeks and days My memories like children play Behind my own worst fears Everything I've ever shown Reflected in the eyes that I show you Everything I've ever known Somewhere in my mind still rings true Chorus: But the seeds I've sown grow today Though the things I've known blow away And I wish to God how I pray That I could stay and watch them Bloom

I Am You 02:43
I am sadness I am hope I'm the end of both at the end of a rope I am conscience I have none I'm the victim, I'm the guilty one I'm the fire, I light the day I'm the obstacles that are in your way I am drought I am rain I'm your shelter, and I'm all your pain And you, pray to me And you beg my heart to bleed And believe everything they say of me is true And you, credit me For your petty victories While you blame me for the evil that you do I am you I am you I am you and we are fools I am hatred I am rage I'm the plot twist, on a missing page I am creator I destroy And I play with you all like you were toys

Cromwell's whips And coffin ships Tied up and kicked about Excise men And hats of tin We've seen it all, no doubt Sugar cane not sweet, but pain Exiled from our land Crushed beneath The Empire's feet But we built it with our hands Chorus: You'll find us in the railyards You'll find us in the pubs You've seen us oh so gentle But we fight without the gloves Some are bound for heaven Others on the road to hell But we've always done it all with pride We're the Children of the Gael They shipped us A million plus Across the Western Sea Just five years Of pain and tears They told us we were free When ashore They gave us war But wouldn't give us jobs Our dignity, integrity and pride they tried to rob Chorus: You'll find us in the railyards You'll find us in the pubs You've seen us oh so gentle But we fight without the gloves Some are bound for heaven Me, I'm on the road to hell But we've always done it all with pride We're the Children of the Gael

Stride 03:09
All this work to make me stronger Leaves me feelin weak And from this sunny outlook, Everything looks bleak So I drink Hide the light within myself Got an angel on the one side Who makes me feel uptight A devil on the other Tellin me that it's alright So I wait Don't do anything at all Yes I wait, Takin everything in stride Life can overwhelm you So don't you look away Cause you'll lose all of your years Livin day to day So don't wait Just take it while you can No don't wait Take everything in stride Take everything in stride

Fire Within 03:05
They take and they take Til your spirit it breaks Your will is broken with your back The struggles are traced In the lines on your face So deep that the skin starts to crack Chorus: So burn with the fire, Burn with the fire in your soul When all is lost It's the one thing inside you can hold So burn with the fire Burn with the fire in your soul The clock it winds down And the sun goes to ground And night comes to swallow the day You've never held back Now the thing that you lack Is time that is running away Chorus: So burn with the fire, Burn with the fire in your soul When all is lost It's the one thing inside you can hold So burn with the fire Burn with the fire in your soul You shiver and shake and your limbs start to quake and you begin to wonder how much you can take Got their chains on your mind and their claws in your soul but you can't stop a fire burning out of control Chorus: So burn with the fire, Burn with the fire in your soul When all is lost It's the one thing inside you can hold So burn with the fire Burn with the fire in your soul Like

Looking back across the past I can see it was never that kind So I turn to the future But I know that it's no friend of mine Every gift I was given Just as fast snatched away All the time I've spent living Seems as much, wasted days Chorus: So give me a morning That I ain't seen yet Show me an evening When the sun doesn't set Help tame the furies That dance wild in my heart And take my regrets, take my regrets before they take me apart I lose track of years gone by Since I stood 'neath the stars of my home And though I don't lack companions In a sense I'm always alone Not a thing that I've taken Would I volunteer to give back And though my back is breaking I will never ask you for slack Chorus I've fought this fight before nothin's new anymore All my defeats have left me on my feet No surprises in store

about

This album is my first solo acoustic project. I draw influences from so many different places lyrically and musically that I'm not even going to attempt to classify it. If you hear something you like in it, awesome. That means it connected.

about

Benny No-Good Indianapolis, Indiana

Frontman for Indiana-based hardcore punk band The Enders, I needed an outlet for songs that don't lend themselves to screaming and high-gain musical assault. That's where we find ourselves here.
